Fill-The-Boot-Ride
Objective: To raise money to help send children with Neuromuscular Diseases to the MDA Summer Camp. Educate the public on MDA.
In 2008 we combined a tradition of over 50 years of supporting MDA with our enjoyment of taking motorcycle rides through the country side. We invited the Massachusetts MDA Goodwill Ambassador to attend the ride. Emma is an 8 year old young lady who made the long ride out for the ride. To see the look on her face when we told her that everyone who was there was there to help send kids the summer camp.
It was challenging to say the least, organizing the ride for the first time. We have sponsor that we hope to continue a partnership with for the future. Along with the sponsors we can’t thank the U-Mass Amherst Police, State Police Motor cycle unit, Ware Police, Belchertown Police, East Brookfield Police, and the Quabbin State Police Barracks for their help in assisting with a safe ride.
